LensMap — Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 18, 2026
LensMap ("the app") is made with privacy in mind. This page explains what happens to your data when you use it.
What we collect
Nothing. LensMap has no backend of its own. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising SDK, no tracking identifier, and no data sent to the developer's servers. We do not sell, share, or retain any personal information.
What happens on your device
To edit and display photos, LensMap reads only the images you explicitly pick using the iOS photo picker. When you pick a photo, the app reads its EXIF metadata — camera make/model, lens, exposure settings, date taken, and, when present, GPS coordinates — so you can choose what to show on top of the image. All editing, filtering, and rendering happens locally on your device. An edited photo only leaves the app when you tap Save to Photos (saved to your own Photos library) or the Share button (handed off to the system share sheet, which you control).
Apple services used by LensMap
Apple's Geocoding service — when a picked photo contains GPS coordinates, the coordinates are sent to Apple to convert them into a "City, Country" label for the overlay. That request is governed by https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
Game Center — if you are signed in to Game Center, the app displays your Game Center profile photo as the toolbar avatar. It does not post anything, change anything, or read anything else from your Game Center account.
StoreKit / In-App Purchase — if you purchase LensMap Pro, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple. The app only receives confirmation that you own the Pro entitlement; it never sees your payment details.
Children
LensMap is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from them.
Third parties
None. LensMap has no third-party SDKs, no analytics, and no ad network integrations.
Changes
If this policy is updated, the new version will replace this page and the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will be announced in the app's release notes.
